TYS Retail's Don Antony Manavalan named Store Manager of the Year
Don Antony Manavalan, store manager at Nisa Local Northfields in Stamford has been named Store Manager of the Year – Independent at the Retail Industry Awards 2024.
Since joining TYS Retail in December 2022, Don has played a pivotal role in the store’s success, serving both the local community and nearby students.
His leadership style, described as inclusive and motivational, has fostered a positive work environment where collaboration thrives. Don's commitment to excellence is reflected in the high store standards he maintains, with daily store checks and digital audits ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Judges were impressed by his empowering leadership, with one stating, “Don is a really focused, exceptional manager.”
Under Don’s direction, Nisa Northfields, which opened in late 2020 after a major redevelopment, has continued to grow, becoming a valued hub for the community.
